Mountain View Memory Care is a senior living residence committed to assisting those with cognitive impairments related to all types of dementia. We are focused on resident centered care with a safe, comfortable, high-quality experience. MVMC’s goal is to raise the quality of life of each of our residents while giving family and friends peace of mind in the home they’ve chosen for their loved one.
We are also looking forward to an upcoming renovation project designed specifically to enhance the memory care experience including a complete upgrade of the facility in all areas.
In the late 1980’s I became the Director of Education for the Alzheimer’s Association of Central New York. I was responsible for developing and implementing educational programming for family caregivers and professionals.
A number of years later, while living in Grosse Point, MI, I was the director of an adult day care program for Alzheimer’s and dementia patients. Our program provided a safe haven for patients whose families were caught in the “sandwich generation”… that is, taking care of parents and children at the same time.
